1977
  • Four-year varsity track and field athlete, two-time team captain.
  • State finalist in 200m dash, 1975-77; anchored first-place 440-yard relay, 1977.
  • MVP and All-State in track, 1975-77; USA High School All-American, 1977.
  • Member of Ski, Chess, Key, Pep, and Lettermen’s Clubs.
  • Graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Business, 1981; track scholarship.
  • Record times: 100m in 9.34s, 200m in 20.36s, 400m in 46.58s.
  • Regional Sales Manager at Olin Brass Corporation.
  • Honored as Father of the Year by Chicago Defender, 2004.
