Gene Rouse

1972
  • Medaled in the Catholic League Championships in numerous sprint events in each of his last three seasons; Co-captain of track team and instrumental in recruiting and developing team members
  • The “Blue Smoke” as the Track team became known was due in no small part to his leadership and spirit
  • At University of Wisconsin, River Falls played football and excelled on the track team
  • Qualified for NAIA championships and Milrose Games in Madison Square Garden
  • Provided leadership and dedication to the Mendel Track program while in college and years after
  • Member of the Mendel Alumni Board of Directors, 2016-2024
