Butter Swim Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¾ cups buttermilk

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  3. Place butter in a glass or ceramic 8-inch square baking dish. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir butter; continue to cook and stir in 20-second intervals until butter is fully melted.
  4. Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt into a bowl.
  5. Stir in buttermilk until combined.
  6. Pour into the baking dish and spread over melted butter. Use a bench scraper to cut dough into 9 equal pieces.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until starting to brown on top, 20 to 25 minutes.
