On a sunny Sunday morning, February 25, 2024, our community gathered at St. John Fisher for the annual “Get Behind The Vest” Pancake Breakfast, a heartfelt event dedicated to honoring our fallen heroes and supporting our active-duty officers.

This year, we were proud to have Andy Youpel represent the Mendel Alumni Association, presenting a generous donation of $725. This contribution was made in memory of Monarchs Patrick Crowley (’63) and James Doyle (’65), who bravely sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

The event was not just about pancakes but a profound gesture of respect, remembrance, and support for those who put their lives on the line every day. The Mendel Alumni Association’s donation underscores our commitment to backing those who serve and protect our community.
