Billy Callahan, who played quarterback at Mendel had a storied career as an NFL and College Football Coach, culminating with the opportunity to be the Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders in the Super Bowl in 2003.  Billy was inducted into the Chicago Catholic League Hall of Fame on April 28, 2022.  Billy Callahan currently is the Offensive Line Coach for the Cleveland Browns.
