The Mendel Alumni Association is proud to announce the final results of the 2025 Gregor Mendel Appeal, and the response from our alumni community has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Thanks to the generosity of 124 donors, this year’s appeal raised a record-setting $16,230, making 2025 the most successful Gregor Mendel Appeal to date. This achievement reflects the deep and lasting commitment Mendel alumni continue to show toward preserving our shared legacy and supporting future generations.

Top Contributing Classes

We extend special congratulations and thanks to our top three contributing classes:

• Class of 1968 — $2,875 from 17 Monarchs
• Class of 1965 — $2,060 from 11 Monarchs
• Class of 1964 — $1,250 from 10 Monarchs

Even more impressive, every graduating class except 1956, 1981, 1982, 1985, 1986, and 1988 was represented with at least one donor—an incredible demonstration of alumni participation across decades.

How These Funds Make an Impact

Proceeds from the 2025 Gregor Mendel Appeal will allow the Mendel Alumni Association to continue its mission to Keep the Mendel Spirit Alive by:

• Supporting retired Augustinians
• Providing Legacy Scholarships to descendants of Mendel alumni
• Assisting Monarchs who are Veterans and First Responders
• Covering essential alumni association needs such as storage, insurance, and website maintenance
